Maheen Arif
Maheen is an associate whose practice includes civil and commercial litigation, management-side labour and employment disputes, and regulatory and administrative proceedings.
She assists with factual investigation, legal research, drafting and preparation for motions, hearings and settlement discussions.
Maheen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law and studied internationally at the University of Amsterdam. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026. During law school, she developed her advocacy skills through the University of Calgary Law Negotiation Club and was a member of the first-place team in the 2023 BLG Trial Competition. She also volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and Pro Bono Students Canada.
Before law school, Maheen obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business from the University of Victoria. She previously worked in business strategy and growth, giving her a practical appreciation of the operational and commercial considerations that often inform legal disputes.
Outside the office, Maheen enjoys skiing, travelling, Pilates and spending time with her ragdoll kitten, Indigo.
